Nov 13th, 2007 by Debra Murphy
Catholic Radio International launches its newest program, Cover to Cover
Catholic Radio International is pleased to announce the launch of our latest show, Cover to Cover. Cover to Cover brings great classic and contemporary literature to life.
Catholics have made enormous contributions to the literary life of the world for centuries. From Augustine and Dante to Chesterton and Tolkien, Catholics have helped to shape our culture and continue to do so.
All the books read on Cover to Cover won’t necessarily be by Catholic authors. But they will be good literature and will share a Catholic world view.
Format
Beginning with Immaculée Ilibagiza’s Left to Tell, the compelling story of life during the Rwandan massacre, the books selected to be read on Cover to Cover will be presented in half-hour segments three times a week. Listeners will find a new segment every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the Catholic Radio International website.
Host
Cover to Cover’s host and reader is Joseph O’Brien. A graduate of the University of Dallas, Mr. O’Brien holds an M.A. in English Literature. He is a poet, teacher, writer and father of seven children.
Guest Hosts
From time to time, Cover to Cover will feature guest hosts. Our first one is Sylvia Dorham who will read Left to Tell. Ms. Dorham is a professional voice-over artist. She has been trained for the stage, is a graduate of the Phillips Exeter Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy. She is also a freelance writer and editor who enjoys sharing her creative vocal repertoire.
